From download to your first setup

Follow these five steps in order. Keep MetaTrader 5 open alongside this guide.

  1. 01

    Download the EA

    Log in, open Dashboard → Downloads, and download the .ex5 for your product. Don't rename the file.

    Install in MT5

    File → Open Data Folder → MQL5 → Experts. Paste the file, then restart MT5 or right-click Navigator → Refresh.

    Allow WebRequest

    Tools → Options → Expert Advisors, tick Allow WebRequest for listed URL, add https://www.quantroom.io, click OK.

    Attach to chart

    Open the correct symbol (XAUUSD for Gold, USTEC/NAS100 for Nasdaq), drag the EA onto the chart, then connect your VPS and migrate so it runs 24/7.

    After migrating, don’t also run the same EA on your local PC — it can trade twice.

    Confirm licence

    No licence key to paste — the EA validates against the MT5 account bound to your licence. The Experts tab should print License valid.

Find the message you’re seeing in MT5 and check the suggested fix.

WebRequest not allowed

Add https://www.quantroom.io to MT5's allowed list (Step 3).

Wrong account

Your MT5 login doesn't match your licence. Open Dashboard → Your licence → Edit details (up to 3 updates), then re-attach the EA and migrate on your VPS.

Wrong symbol

EA attached to a different broker symbol than intended.

Expired licence

Turn auto-renew back on or subscribe again from your dashboard — the same EA keeps working.

Server unreachable

Check internet, VPS firewall, URL allowlist, or API status.

More about your account, VPS and ongoing access.

Do you hold my funds or control my account?

No. The EA executes inside your own MetaTrader 5 account at your chosen broker, on your machine or VPS. You deposit and withdraw directly with your broker, and you can stop or remove the EA at any time. We licence the software only — we never hold funds, take custody of your balance, or have withdrawal access.

Do I need a new EA file when my subscription renews?

No. Successful renewals extend your access in the dashboard. The same EA file keeps working — you only re-download when a new version is released.

How do I cancel auto-renew?

Open Dashboard → Manage subscription and turn off auto-renew. Future charges stop immediately; you keep access until the current billing period ends.

What happens when my licence expires?

The EA stops placing new pending orders. If a trade is already open, it keeps managing the stop-loss, take-profit, and trailing until that trade closes. Turn auto-renew back on or subscribe again from your dashboard to restore access.

Can I change my MT5 account?

Yes — up to 3 times from your dashboard under Your licence → Edit details. After updating, remove the EA from your chart, attach it again, then migrate on your VPS. Further changes need a request for admin approval.

Do I need a VPS?

Yes — that's how we run 24/7. Attach the EA on your chart, then connect the VPS and migrate. Don't also keep the same EA running on your local PC, or it can trade twice.
